My wife Gail and I had been painting at
a charity event for the Bristol
Museum's annual garden tour, and
afterwards decided to have dinner at
one of the bayside restaurants in the
town. We ate a tasty fish and chips
with a glass of wine on the terrace,
watching the crowd as much as the
boats in the harbor. As is my wont, I
used my sketchbook to record the
moment while we waited for our food.
