boy and his pet goat

This is the rare occasion when I've
included an actual photograph from
which I've done a painting. It's a
photo of a boy on a tricycle in the
yard of the farm in Indiana where
he grew up with a much loved pet
goat (and there is a pet dog also
on the porch in the background).
It's a tribute to that boy as part of
an exhibition on paintngs inspired
by poetry. I wrote the little poem to
accompany the painting, a haiku,
which reads:
boy with his pet goat
in a fading photograph
my father, age five.
