Two Gulls

This somewhat impressionistic
interpretation of gulls was done in the
tidal pools along Ocean Drive in
Newport, Rhode, Island. It's a good
place to observe gulls as they step
and and out of these salt or rainwater
puddles in the rocky shelves along the
seawall there. Gulls are a favorite of
mine and have saved interest in many
ocean, harbor and boat paintings,
mine included. Only right for them to
get top billing more than once in awhile.
