The Newport Bridge
0il 16x20 and framed
Really the Pell Bridge, named after
one of the state's former US Senators,
this graceful suspension bridge was
built to connect Newport and it's island
to Jamestown Island and the mainland.
Like its famous and likely inspiration,
the Golden Gate Bridge, it's beautiful
from every angle. I've painted it from
below, looming up on a not atypical
New England misty, foggy day.
