Beavertail Rocks
oil
8x10" and framed

This is the rocky shoreline off
Jamestown Island near the end of the
promentary where Beavertail
lighthouse sits. The painting was done
en plein air (outdoors) and alla prima
(in one sitting). that's the painter's
vocabulary French lesson for today.
I'm proud of this little work, and feel
that way of working in this case best
captured the elusive light and windy
weather that swept over the rocks and
small bay where I set up my easel.
