Bobbin in a Tree, oil, 11x14 and framed

The oil pictured at left was done on a
memorable summer afteroon painting plein air
at a beautiful nature preserve on the Wood
River in Hope Valley, Rhode Island. It tells a
story.
I called it "Bobbin in a Tree" because if you
look closely you can see that abandoned piece
of tackle hanging from a branch over the water.
I'm sure it represents a more frustrating
moment in a fisherman's life he just as soon
would like to forget.
