The painting depicts the Providence
Power Station I pass every day on my
way into the city to our downtown
studio at the Providence Art Club.
There was a heavy fog that morning,
as well as steam venting from various
smokestacks and ducts in the building
itself. I like depicting urban
archetecture, and was able to
reproduce that particular moment from
memory and a quick photo snapped
from my car window when I stopped at
a red light.
