Corinth Temple, Greece
watercolor 11x14" matted and framed
sold
My wife and I did a number of small
watercolors during a trip we took to
Greece. This temple sits atop a hill
over old Corinth, a massive city of
Greek and Roman ruins at the
entrance to the Peloponneus. You
can literally walk the streets, look into
the stores where ancient Greeks lived,
and where the disciple Paul once
preached. The stuccoed homes and
tiled rooftops of the lovely modern
village of Corinth is nearby too. My
effort to portray this special place is
now in the collection of a close friend
of Greek heritage. It represents a fond
memory of mine, now shared, which is
one of the delights of being a painter.
