Providence Power Station
watercolor 11x14" matted and framed

You can't travel throughProvidence
without at one time or another
catching a glimpse of this huge
structure brooding over the
landscape. Yet it is almost
scupturally satisfying on the skyline,
a landmark of the city. Whether
you're having a drink at the Hot Club
immediately across the river, visiting
nearby Bert Gallery along the
waterfront, or just zooming past on
route 95, these twentith century
behemouths are as much a part of
our lives as  railroad terminals and
bridges were to the impressionists of
the late last century. For the same
reasons, it deserves to be painted.
